Chief Executive Officer
Paula Fleming is Chief Executive Officer of Great Circle, providing leadership and strategic planning across the entire organization. Appointed to her current role in January 2020, she has been with Great Circle for 14 years, previously as chief operating officer, chief program officer and its Central region vice president. She has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit behavioral health field, including service to Presbyterian Children’s Services and William Woods University. She has a bachelor’s of science degree in psychology from Truman State University and master’s and doctorate degrees in educational and counseling psychology from University of Missouri-Columbia.
Chief Financial Officer
Nunn joined Great Circle in 2008 as vice president of finance/chief finance officer. Nunn oversees all financial matters, ensures compliance and internal controls, develops budgets and forecasts, manages the annual audit and oversees banking relationships. Prior to joining Great Circle, Nunn served as a corporate controller in private industry for more than 20 years. He is a graduate of Truman University in Kirksville, Missouri, with a bachelor of science in accounting. Nunn is a certified public accountant and member of the AICPA and MSCPA.
Chief Legal Officer
Cheryl Schuetze is Chief Legal Officer of Great Circle, providing legal counsel across the entire organization. She was appointed in July 2021 to serve as the organization’s first Chief Legal Officer. She has 20 years of legal experience, including having served four years as Chief Counsel of the Missouri Attorney General’s Office Governmental Affairs Section. She also served six years as Deputy Chief Counsel for the Missouri Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division. She has been involved in child welfare since 2011. She has a law degree (JD) from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, and a bachelor’s of arts degree in political science and history from Colorado State University.
Chief Communications and Marketing Officer
Joining Great Circle in November 2021 in her current position, Farrow oversees all internal and external communications, marketing, referral services and call center functions for the agency. Her leadership experience includes public relations, reputation management, advocacy and newspaper executive management, and all facets of communications. Prior to Great Circle, Farrow led her own public relations and advocacy firm, Farrow Communications LLC, where she worked with a variety of clients, including nonprofits and Fortune 500 companies, overseeing public relations, crisis communications, reputation management, audience development and advocacy projects. Farrow also served as a correspondent for The Associated Press and was an editor and reporter for numerous newspapers. She named a Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute fellow after being tapped by newspaper associations in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Minnesota to research and develop emerging digital revenue streams for newspapers. She holds a bachelor’s in journalism from University of Missouri.
Vice President of Finance & PQI
Kathy Francescon serves as vice president of finance and PQI. She joined Great Circle in 2020 as controller. She oversees all financial operations, ensures compliance with internal controls, develops budgets and forecasts, and manages the annual audit and tax return preparation. In addition, Kathy oversees performance improvement and quality efforts, ensuring contract compliance and agency accreditation. Prior to joining Great Circle, she served as a financial leader and executive in a variety of industries and non-profit organizations spanning her 35-year career.. She is a graduate of University of Missouri-St. Louis with a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting. Kathy is a certified public accountant and member of AICPA and MSCPA.
