Social Interaction Challenges

Painful peer interactions

Overview

Interactions with peers or groups at school and home can be painful for children and teens struggling with social skill development

Children and teens with social interaction challenges may have problems understanding, interpreting and/or responding to others’ communication. And as such, may seem hyperactive or seemingly unable to control their behavior. Children and teens with social interaction challenges may even appear to be slow or behind in communication skill development when compared to peers.

If you believe your child, teen, or someone you know could be struggling with social interactions, consult your physician to learn more and talk about treatment options.
