Great Circle’s Board of Directors Elects Officers, Adds 3 Members

(March 4, 2020) Great Circle’s Board of Directors recently selected new officers for 2020 and added three new members to the statewide board. As one of the Midwest’s largest behavioral health services nonprofits, Great Circle provides a wide variety of mental health and family support services to tens of thousands of children and families each year in Missouri, eastern Kansas and Illinois from its 20 locations.

The Board’s new officers are:

Andy Miedler, chair, of Chesterfield. He serves as a Principal in the finance division at Edward Jones and has been on the Board since 2012.

Peggy Gordin, vice chair, of Town and Country. She is Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer for St. Louis Children’s Hospital and has served on the Board since 2014.

Heather Wood, secretary, of Creve Coeur. She is a General Partner at Cultivation Capital. She joined the Board in 2012.

Chris Tucker, treasurer, of Chesterfield. He is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions. He joined the Board in 2017.

Miedler takes over the Board chairmanship from Jack Gillis, who served in that role for five years. “Jack guided the Board admirably through many changes over the years, including a highly successful $22 million capital campaign that transformed our Webster Groves campus and enabled us to serve more children and families throughout the region,” said Miedler.

“I welcome the opportunity to continue working with Great Circle’s outstanding executive leadership team to move the organization forward,” he added. “Together, we will continue delivering the many high-quality services so essential for families facing mental health challenges and who deserve the best help we can provide,” he said.

Gillis remains on the Board, serving as an at-large member of the Executive Committee, along with fellow Board members Ted Armstrong and Barbara Richter.

Miedler also announced three new members have been appointed to the Board in 2020:
